I happily accept books from authors or publishers for review. I prefer that books be in print format (ARCs, paperbacks or hardbacks) rather than electronic copies, but I will accept e-books in PDF or Kindle format.
I read just about any genre, including: Young Adult, Historical Fiction, Romance, Fantasy, Spiritual, New Age, Non-Fiction, Dystopian, Science Fiction, Urban Fantasy and Adventure novels. I also welcome children's books for children of all ages. I do have 2 children, so I get accurate feedback on children's books.
My reviews always include the book cover, a description, and a link where the readers can purchase the book (usually amazon.com). I try my best to avoid spoilers, so I avoid mentioning plot particulars unless they are necessary to facilitate a point in the review. My reviews give my opinion on the plot, the characters, the writing styles used, and particular points I enjoyed or disliked in the book. I also make a point in my reviews to cover the topic of youth readers. All of my reviews are my honest opinion of the reading material. This means that they may not always be positive reviews. I believe in fairness to the readers, so regardless of any compensation I may receive for a review, I will not say I like something if I do not.
I hope to read one to two books a week, but sometimes life does get in the way. When I finish reading, I post the review within 24 hours of finishing a book, while it is fresh in my mind. I do understand the need for review deadlines, and will rearrange my reading schedule to meet them as best possible. There should be no issue as long as I get at least two weeks' notice of the deadline.
All reviews posted here are also posted in a condensed form on Goodreads, Amazon.com, LibraryThing, PaperbackSwap, and the publisher's web site when available. If you require the review to be posted on a particular site, just let me know.
